About the University: University of South Dakota(USD) was established in 1862, located in Vermillion(SD, USA). It's the oldest university of the state. It is known for its medical and law school. USD is affiliated by the South Dakota Board of Regents.

South dakota is located in the mid western reigion of USA. South dakota is the name coming from Lakota and Dakota Sioux American Indian tribes living there formerly. The state capital here is Pierre, and the largest city is Sioux Falls. English is used as the Official language in SD. This state is rural on large scale and has the fifth lowest state in population among all other US states.

SD also had two National Scenic Byways - The Peter Norbeck National Scenic Byway(located in the Black Hills) and the Native American Scenic Byway(running along Missouri River). Badlands Loop Scenic Byway, Spearfish Canyon Scenic Byway are some other Byways. BNSF Railway is the largest railway running in South dakota. Rapid City Regional Airport and the Sioux Falls Regional Airport are the two airports from where various flights are being operated all over US and south Dakota.

Weather: South Dakota has four seasons from very cool winters to very hot summers. In summers the normal temp. during the day is 32 °C and 15 °C during nights. But in winters this temp. falls down to approx - 12 °C.
