Brown University, Rhode Island

BROWN UNIVERSITY: The university was founded in 1764 before the independence of the state. There are three sections of the university: the College, Graduate school, and the Alpert Medical School. Watson Institute of Technology organises all the international programs of the university.

1. THE COLLEGE: College is the oldest part of the university. It mainly consists of the streams like biology, history and international relations along with Egyptology and History of Maths and more. In the present day about 6500 students are doing their undergraduation through this college.
The college offers two degrees namely: 1) Bachelor of arts and 2) Bachelor of science. Along with these degree courses the college also offers dual degrees to their students like PLME degree is also provided by the college that is of 8 years and starts with undergraduate degree to the M.D. degree and Brown-RISD degree that continues to B.F.A. degree.

2. Graduate School: After college the graduate school is the second most important part of the Brown University. It provides master's degree along with Ph.D. in 40 different subjects. The school offers various degree courses like Master of Arts, Master of Fine Arts, Master of Arts in Teaching, Master of Public Health, Master of Science, Master of Medical Science and Ph.D. degree. A joint program M.D.- Ph.D. degree is also provided to regular or overseas students.

3. Alpert School: The school provides many dual degree courses some of them are PLME. M.D./Ph.D., M.D./M.P.H. and M.D./M.P.P. are also offered whiich is not available in any other colleges of the state.
