Naval War college,Rhode Island

The NWC college was founded in 1884. The college was mainly opened for helping the naval officers by world class ideas of personal developments. It is located in Newport. The college provides Professional Millitary Education(PME). The staff has 8 to 15 years of millitary experience. Various branches of millitary are here.

There are mainly two courses: Naval Command College and Naval Staff College. But the condition for getting admission is that they dont provide any degree to the officers of the other nations. Decision making is tried to be developed in the students.The students from all the streams work towards Master of Arts. More 24000 officers had completed their graduation from here. Stephen B. Luce, the founder president of the college had set a motto for the college that "The war is a place of original research on all queations and to statesmanship connected with war or the prevention of war". The whole curriculum of the naval war depends upon three subjects: strategy and policy, policy making and decision making and joint millitary operations. Each year approx 600 students take admissions for getting the officers degree in different streams. The original building of the college is being used as the famous museum of naval warfare.
