Brown University, Rhode Island

BROWN UNIVERSITY: The university was founded in 1764 before the independence of the state. There are three sections of the university: the College, Graduate school, and the Alpert Medical School. Watson Institute of Technology organises all the international programs of the university.

1. THE COLLEGE: College is the oldest part of the university. It mainly consists of the streams like biology, history and international relations along with Egyptology and History of Maths and more. In the present day about 6500 students are doing their undergraduation through this college.
The college offers two degrees namely: 1) Bachelor of arts and 2) Bachelor of science. Along with these degree courses the college also offers dual degrees to their students like PLME degree is also provided by the college that is of 8 years and starts with undergraduate degree to the M.D. degree and Brown-RISD degree that continues to B.F.A. degree.

2. Graduate School: After college the graduate school is the second most important part of the Brown University. It provides master's degree along with Ph.D. in 40 different subjects. The school offers various degree courses like Master of Arts, Master of Fine Arts, Master of Arts in Teaching, Master of Public Health, Master of Science, Master of Medical Science and Ph.D. degree. A joint program M.D.- Ph.D. degree is also provided to regular or overseas students.

3. Alpert School: The school provides many dual degree courses some of them are PLME. M.D./Ph.D., M.D./M.P.H. and M.D./M.P.P. are also offered whiich is not available in any other colleges of the state.

Rhode Island Universities

Rhode island is a north eastern state of US. Area wise its the smallest state. After revolution it became a part of the six state region 'New England'. Rhode island is not actually an island but a land part having greater importance in US history also. Among all the US states it was the first who declares itself as the independent state from the British rule but the last who adopts the US constitution. Major part of the population are Christians there.

There are 12 major universities and colleges in the state that aim to provide education in most of the fields.

MBA Study in newzealand

Eligibility Criteria for admissions in mba in newzealand:-

1. For admission in mba programmes in newzealand colleges generally ask for a three year graduation degree. It is equivalent to B.A, B.Com., B.Sc. and some colleges ask for B.E. degree.

2. Major requirements for admission in MBA is atleast 3-4 years work experience. Part time experience is not considered anywhere.

3. GMAT is accepted only in some colleges.

4. IELETS or TOEFL is required in almost colleges even if you have read english as the compulsary subject. Students need to pass IELETS with a minimum of 6 to 6.5 bands.

5. Minimum marks of 577(paper work) and 240(computer practical) is required to be taken in TOEFL paper.

6. Letter of recommendation makes admission procedure easier.

7. For studying in newzealand a student may or may not require a VISA. if the course is for less than or equal to three months then visitors VISA may work. Else students will have to arrange a study visa or permit to stay in newzealand.


MAJOR MBA COLLEGES IN NEWZEALAND:

1) University of Otago School of Business:
It has been set among the historic halls of University of Otago in Dunedin, Newzealand. There are seven departments of management which are: Accountacy and Business Law, Economics, Management, Financial and quantitative studies, management, Information Science, Marketing and Tourism.

3)University of Canterbury:
This is the second oldest university of newzealand and was originated in 1873. It is situated in Christchurch, nz. 4)Victoria University of Wellington:
The university was establshed in 1897. Its main campus is situated in Kelburn where along with administration, humanities, social sciences and science departments are also operating.
There are different MBA courses are being studied like: 2 yr MBA, accelerated MBA, part time MBA, executive MBA.

5)Massey university:
The university has three main campuses situated in Plamerston north, Wellington and Auckland. The college of business was founded in 1972. It provides degree in the following streams: aviation, accountacy, executive education, economics and finance, management, management and international business, Department of commerce, department of journalism and marketing. It has been ranked 283 in QS ranking.

REQUIREMENTS: Along with TOEFL and IELETS one needs to clear NCEA literary requirements as well.

6)University of Waikato:
The university of Waikato was established in 1962 offering various honours and masters degree and graduate and post graduate diplomas in most of the subjects. It is one of the leading universities of asia-pacific. The executive programmes offered here are globally recognized by EQUIS, AACSB AND AMBA. It is basically located in Hamilton and Tauranga and attracts overseas students for further studies and more. There are more than 1500 overseas students mostly from the regions of Pacific rim and Asian countries.
